Caetano Veloso

One of the world's great songwriters, and a thrilling live performer, Brazilian superstar Caetano Veloso's music radiates warmth. His seductive, melodic voice and bossa-nova style guitar push Brazilian traditions into exciting new realms. On this visit, he'll be playing material from his wonderful album on Wrasse, Zii e Zie, described by Songlines as 'a kind of Radiohead-tinged samba - glorious, satisfying stuff, consolidating Veloso’s return to his grandiose best.'

Speech Writing: How To Write A Good One?

Speech writing is in lots of ways similar writing a paper, apart from that there is no penalty for spelling and punctuation mistakes. You should not try to write words in your speech that you are not relaxed pronouncing or don't know the meaning of because it can lead to a less fluently delivered speech.

To be able to write a high-quality speech is a lot like making a good cake. Having the right elements is key for it's success. Every… Continue

Interesting Titles

Social By Social
Andy Gibson, Nigel Courtney, Amy Sample Ward, David Wilcox and Professor Clive Holtham

About this book:
New technologies are changing the way we engage communities, run companies, deliver public services, participate in government and campaign for change. These new technologies are available to all of us. And they offer us an amazing opportunity to change our world.

Social by Social is a practical guide to using new technologies to create social impact. It makes accessible the tools you need to engage a community, offer services, scale up activities and sustain projects. Whoever you are, it shows you how to take technology and turn it into real world benefits.

It isn’t a manual in the classic sense. This work is still pretty new and there isn’t a simple model to follow. Instead, it asks you the questions which you will need to answer, shares some of the routes other people have tried, and offers signposts to help you find your way. And it invites you to join an ongoing conversation as we all find the way together.

The book is available to buy here, where it can also be viewed online in full or downloaded as a free pdf.
